Digital Marketing Analyst Job Description

📍 Location: Manchester – In-person, with occasional travel to suppliers, trade fairs, and industry events
📄 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
💰 Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)


Job Summary:

The Digital Marketing Analyst will conduct a variety of research and analysis activities to the DIY Wholesale LTD and support the company digital marketing strategies, online presence, and e-commerce growth. This role involves researching digital marketing trends, analysing online customer behaviours, conducting competitor analysis, and presenting findings to optimize our digital marketing campaigns and online business performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Data Analysis: Gather and collect data digital marketing platforms and analyse website traffic, users’ behaviour, and conversion metrics.
  • Strategy support: Support the development of digital marketing strategies through insights and forecasting. Recommend changes that help to improve campaign performance based on the data analysis.
  • Marketing Tools Management: Use and manage the available marketing tools like google tag manager, Ad management dashboards and CRM platforms.
  • Keyword and Competitor Analysis: Suggest improvement for search engine rankings and content strategies. Conduct Keyword research and monitor competitor digital strategies.
  • Campaign Performance Monitoring: track and report on the performance of SEO, email marketing and social media campaigns.

Market & Product Intelligence:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to improve product offering, packaging, and promotional strategy.
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to build brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with commercial, product, and operations teams to align campaigns with business objectives
  •  Provide guidance on new product launches and digital positioning
  • Recommend pricing and promotional tactics based on market data

Requirements &Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
  •  Previous experience in digital marketing, market analysis, or related research roles
  • Experience with digital marketing analytics, social media research, and online customer behaviours analysis
  • Background in data analysis, digital trend identification, and marketing performance reporting
  • Experience in the electrical, lighting, retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable
  • Experience working with retailers, wholesalers, or trade distribution channels is a strong advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical mindset and detail orientation
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Excel, and CRM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of lighting products and their technical/consumer applications is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
